I hope to use this blog to explore the nexus between new media and the 2012 Presidential Campaign- at all different levels. To start, here’s a very superficial look at how the candidates are using Facebook. Good stuff, although I disagree on the first one. I’m pretty sure an exponential increase in sharing is not only likely, but probably underestimating this. We’re witnessing the biggest transformation in peer to peer, social communication since… well, possibly since ever. Social media (not just the platforms, but the ideals and philosophies behind it) have fundamentally changed the way we interact with the world and with each other, and mobile technology is only exacerbating the impact.
